Some photos from my cuzin's wedding. To be her main photographer on her wedding day is not an easy job for me. It's a real challenge. Takut if the photo will turn out really bad. With my only gear EOS 400D and with help from my fren, Rena, when I look at the photos, honestly, I can see some are beautifully taken. Different photographer have different angle and the way they see things. It is from our own creativity. Camera is just a tools. I am not a commercial photographer yet, it's just my hobby. I realise it is an expensive hobby and that's one of the reason I am resting from photography for almost 1 year. Can't afford to buy lens, flash etc. Now I can say I'm back. With Muna's wedding, yeah, I'm back. Although I'm not a commercial photographer, tapi aku pernah berkata pada dirikiu sendiri, I wanna help orang yang susah (if I'm free laaa). Meaning, if ada orang yang kurang berkemampuan mahukan khidmat photography masa wedding, Insya Allah I will help. Not everyone can afford to pay the photography fees especially the professional ones.

Hari ini hari jadi ku. Another 1 year older. Walau tidak pernah celebrate my birthday for more than 5 years now, I still treat is as my special day. Really special. So today, I pray for my self, my happiness, keberkatan dalam hidup dan segala-galanya lah. Bersyukur buat segala-galanya. Semoga Allah membukakan segala pintu rahmat, rezeki, kesihatan, kasih sayang, cinta dan segalanya. Hari ini hanya mau beli kek buat diri sendiri, tapi ada orang yang melarang...namanya Rena. Seorang sahabat yang baik tapi aku selalu panggil ia si angin. sekejap ada, sekejap tak ada. Masa aku buat blog ini aku sedang bertelefon dengannnya, untuk mengucapkan selamat hari jadi. Thank you Rena. Sudah lah kena belikan kek oleh Rena, aku demand juga mau kek tiramisu. My favorite. Lepas tu, mau photoshoot. Buat kenangan sudah tua nanti. Insya Allah. Mau cari rumah usang, mau bergambar di rumah yang usang, cantik kalau di buat black and white. Aduh, demanding nya! Tak apa, yang penting gambar aku berusia 33 tahun ini sesuatu yang menarik. Wana - she was my classmate when we were at Secondary 2. We only knew each other for few months then she moved to Philippines. In the next couples of years, I heard that she was already in UK. There were no emails on that time, just letters. We just keep in touch via letters. Next I heard she already became stewardess. Not a surprise for me cos Wana really have the features to be a stewardess. What was surprising me was, we met at our company function and she told me that she works with us! Now we are working with the same company! Recently she rang me and told me that she will moving to some other places following her hubby. Will gonna miss her again! Btw, congrats Wana on your wedding.

Although at the moment I am not really active in photography, but I still take some shots only for special events like weddings, engagement or company events eg golf etc etc....this is just for my collections. I really don't see myself in photography career but it is just my no 1 hobbies. It is still no 1. Also, I really can't afford to buy the camera stuff like lens etc etc....not really important yet as I still have other things to buy that is more important than that. May be I just be the model, helping frens to make their portfolios. I just hope I am a 'photogenic' person, but if I'm not, I guess professional photographers know what they should do. EDIT! TOUCH UP! Up to individialities!

Some shots during the Golf Tournament of the company where I work. Having opportunities to drive 'buggy' with other photographer from my company and there I saw for the first time this lotus with different colors at Empire. There are white, pink and purple. What a beautiful day! Anyway, it's been long time I stay quite and did not write anything here......well, I am not sure if I have to give up on this blog, but not up to the stage that I want to close this blog account yet! Huh...talking about life, sometimes hard to predict. Always prepare for the unexpected one. I am not trying to disappear, or running away but just would like to have some quiet moment. I think my life is like a candle. I don't know how you measure me, how you think of me, how you judge me. No matter what comes from your mind, I will never hate you.

As a candle, my life is measured in hours, i serve by being devoured, wind is my foe.....you only need me whenever you really need me but I am still happy I can light up someone's life eventhough it is just for a moment. And that moment, I will never forget for the rest of my life. I am happy that we have met.

10 Tips to lose weight

Tip 1: Find out how many calories you need

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate)

BMR [kcal]

Body Weight [lb] x 15 + (moderate activity [mins/day] x 3.5)

Since you wish to lose weight, your target = BMR - 500 kcal

For instance, you weigh 140 lb and you perform 20 mins of moderate activity every day. BMR of this example = (140 x 15) + (20 x 3.5) = 2100 + 70 = 2170 kcal. BMR minus 500kcal; it would be 2170 - 500 = 1670 kcal. Therefore 1670 kcal is the target in this example to losing 1 lb per week.

Tip 2: Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day

If possible, purchase fresh foods and avoid package (processed) and convenient foods such as fast food. Packaged and convenient foods are often higher in sodium and fat content. Many people we spoke to are amazed that they can easily lose weight by packing a home-cooked lunch to work instead of eating out.

Tip 6: Don't be overly-restrictive

Everyone has his or her favorite treats. Simply allow yourself a little indulgence, but watch out for the frequency and the quantity. Having a small treat once in a while can be rewarding to your weight loss experience. Cutting too much of your favorite treats usually lead to an early relapse.

Tip 7: Understand Food Claims and Labels

A product labelled with a fat-free claim does not mean that it is low in calories. Similarly a product labelled as low-sugar or low-carb does not mean it is low in fat or calories. Always read the nutrition label on the packaging.

Tip 8: Watch for the sugary drinks

Juices, pop, cream & sugar in your coffee or tea all add up. Opt for drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. In addition to providing hydration to your body, it will also help you feel full.

Tip 9: Keep a food journal

Keeping a food journal helps you pin point your eating pattern and will enable you to easily modify it. If possible, have your Registered Dietitian review your journal.

Tip 10: Exercise, period

Most authorities recommend 30 - 60 minutes of physical activity a day to stay healthy. Also try adding weight-bearing exercises at least 2 times a week. This will help burn some of the unwanted calories.

I was given an MC for 2 days last week due to fever. Can't go out, so what else to do besides surfing, surfing and surfing. I also didn't know that how I came out for this ideas. Well, it's kinda my hobby right now. First time I tried it online and I kinda like the result, since then, I keep on trying and trying and trying to do scrapbooking online :-)It was really fun and enjoying. Didn't know the feeling was like that! So at the moment, I stop doing any photoshop thingy and just concentrate on this scrapbook! Will start my photoshop some other time again if I have new photos....So here is some my scrapbooking photos I create my self. Some of my creativity.

My first visit to Tasek Merimbun. It was really a beautiful lake. Aku hanya pernah dengar tentang tasek ini, tapi tidak pernah tahu atau pun terfikir mahu pergi kesana. Dulu masa bersekolah pun, tidak ada lawatan sekolah untuk pergi kesana. kini aku sudah melihat dengan mata ku sendiri.....

Below is what I got from internet about the lake and yap, the lake is black. Really unique!

"The unique black water lake known as Tasek Merimbun is the largest lake in Brunei. Two rivers, Sungai Meluncur and Sungai Bang Oncom, flow into the lake. The waters from the two rivers are almost black because they flow through swamp forests full of peat on their way to the lake. Tasek Merimbun naturally has an unusual S-shape. There is a small island in the center, which is accessible by way of a timber walkway."

Just to add my view of the lake, for me, personally, the lake need some minor changes. I really hope to see the lake will become a centre of attraction for the tourist and locals. May be we can have entertainments such as cultural dances, overnite stay etc..etc...

15Feb09 - me and my colleagues made a visit to Tanjong Maya residence after the flood that was happened in Brunei for the past few weeks. Lihat dengan mata tak sama dengan orang yang merasa. Melihat sendiri dengan mata suasana banjir yang melanda memang merasa sungguh simpati, tapi inilah kehidupan. Tidak ada siapa yang boleh menyangka sesuatu perkara akan berlaku. Saya sendiri mengalami 'no electricity' selama 3 hari. Satu pengalaman yang tak boleh saya lupakan, memang susah dan payah bila kita tidak ada elektrik. Ia benar-benar mengajar saya untuk menjadi lebih bersyukur.

Never thought of doing this in my life but now I did it. Actually I just want to challenge my self on my birthday! This trip has 3 options. Options 1 only at Kinabalu part, options 2 up to Laban Rata and options 3 is to the summit of the mountain. For me I only chose option 2 because I just want to try my fitness level!!

I reached Laban rata for about 7 hours 38 mins!!! that's very slow, but I remember the organiser said, 'No race, just do it at your own pace'. Well, at least sampai juga aku ke Laban Rata! This is an unforgettable memory. Also a very expensive experience I had in my life!

Sudah lama tidak lihat movie. I like romantic comedy movie. Aku kira movie ini, I am not single, bagus dan boleh buat aku ketawa.

I went to buy the ticket. Selepas beli tiket aku lihat poster tentang movie. Aku terlihat poster ‘I am not single’. Wonder kenapa pelakonnya orang melayu. Bukan tidak mahu lihat cerita melayu , tapi aku selalu tidak faham apa yang ingin di sampaikan dalam cerita. Bagus beli CD saja.

Aku pergi ke kaunter semula, kononnya mahu pulangkan or tukar tiket movie. Aku bertanya, “ Ada movie lain selain dari I am not single?” Ada memang ada tapi I don’t want to watch it sebab masanya berlainan. Akhirnya aku tanya lagi, “Is the movie, I am not single nice?” She said “yes”. Tak apalah, lihat saja. Itulah tidak pandang-pandang! A lesson, next time check the movie first!

Ada cerita lagi, sebelum aku lihat movie ini, aku offer SC to join me. I message him,

“I watch movie later. I am not single. Mau? Let me know later”

He replied “ U r not single? Umm jantah, mengacau saja me later. Enjoy the movie k ”

To me that message sounds lain macam saja.

I read back my sent box, yea, I agreed that my message earlier memang patut di salah ertikan. Oopss. Tapi fun, terkena juga SC!!!

Jurujual tiket itu memang benar, movie ini memang bagus. Bagiku, sebuah movie melayu yang tak rugi melihatnya.

Dalam movie itu heroinnya Maya. Dalam tengah lihat movie, ada orang yang bercakap besar. Tak kisahlah, kalau lihat cerita comedy memang selalu riuh, full of laughter. Tapi ada satu scene yang tak boleh aku lupakan sampai sekarang.

Scene nya begini : Maya di dalam bilik tidur. Almarinya ada sticker MAYA. Cuba terbalikkan nama itu, ia jadi AYAM.

Orang itu berkata in the middle of the movie, “Eh apakan tu AYAM, eh eh…salah, MAYA”.

What a day!!! Satu, ku sangka movie English. Dua, SC terkena dan Tiga, bila MAYA jadi AYAM.

Semua kerana I am not single.

Something to think about

Semalam adalah kenangan. Semalam adalah sejarah. Ada pahit ada manis. Namun aku anggap ia semua manis dan indah.

Yang baik di jadikan teladan, yang buruk di jadikan sempadan. Hari ini aku begini, esok aku begitu. Begitu lah manusia, boleh berubah sekelip mata. Ada yang berubah menjadi lebih baik dan ada juga yang menjadi lebih buruk. Tapi bagiku, fikirkan yang baik-baik saja.

Banyak dugaan yang di tempuh begitu juga dengan diriku. Bagi diriku, kekuatan diri adalah penting untuk menempuh segala dugaan. Bagaimana aku mencari kekuatan, hanya pada yang Esa.

Ada yang suka denganku dan ada yang tidak. Itu perkara biasa. Tidak ada yang sempurna. Pengalaman banyak mengajar ku erti hidup. Hari ini aku di puja dan di puji, di cintai dan di layan bak seorang puteri, esok tidak lagi. Namun begitulah kenyataannya. Jangan tanyakan di mana silapnya, kerana tidak ada silapnya yang perlu di persoalkan. Semua itu tidak mengapalah. Ingat saja pada yang Esa. Jangan tanya macam-macam. Diam saja.

Inginkan kesempurnaan dalam hidup? Aku pernah baca satu artikel, jangan mencari terlalu sempurna. Namun semua orang berlumba mencari kesempurnaan. Sempurnakah kita? Fahamilah maksudnya sendiri. Bagiku, ada kebenarannya kata –kata itu. Jadi, jangan mencari terlalu sempurna kerana tidak ada yang sempurna. Kenapa aku tulis artikel ini? Kerana ia adalah sesuatu yang perlu kita fikirkan. Something to think about. Pasti pernah terjadi pada semua orang.

Aku tak kisah dengan penilaian orang terhadap diriku. Kita ada persepsi sendiri. Just jaga diri kita.

Trip to Kuala Lumpur

I reached The Ascott at 2 am in the morning. Really tired but not felt sleepy yet. I slept at 3 am. The next day have to wake up very early for bowling tournament with my colleague in Malaysia. Although I don’t have any practice for the tournament but I scored 345. (For me this is my achievement because I never get this score before, normally my score is worst than this). Met new colleague there Snake,Aedi Nor Izu and many more during the tournament. You guys a really great and sporting.

Snake – will contact you if I visit HRC.

At night, I had dinner at Restoran Seri Melayu. This is a real malay restaurant + culture. There was a cultural dance show while we eat. About the food, I did not managed to taste all the food…although I wanted to. For me the food is a lot! Too much but it is worth to eat at this restaurant. Restoran Seri Melayu, now become one of favorite places to eat in KL. Will pay a visit again if I had a chance.

Next is Zouk and Velvet. It’s been a long time didn’t go this kind of places and show my talent dancing on the floor. Last time was when I was teenager. There I met Nagib, Alwi’s cousin.

Nagib – a criminal lawyer who is fun to be with. Thanks Nagib for accompanying us till 4 am in the morning. Still remember your word, “if there is no crimes in KL I will lost my job” Oh Nagib…..You make me speechless!

Accompanying Hilma and fiancee, Lenny at Tasha Sisha Sri Hartamas. Also join Kenny and Michelle. Thanks to Nagib who drive us there. You are so kind Nagib.

Woke up early again!!! This time is my appointment with Rafishah, a novelist. We planned to go to Genting Highland. I had to message her at 4 am in the morning to rearrange the time from 8 am to 9 am. Although it is hard for me to wake up in that morning but I managed to get ready around 9 am and met Rafishah.

Rafishah – I hope you had a good time with me at Genting. I know it is your first time there. Hope Genting will give you another inspirations to write. Sorry haven’t got time to read your last novels but I promise you I will.

Ok, that’s all about KL. Insya Allah will visit KL again to eat!!! Oopsss…to eat!!!! To eat and meet those great people that I have mentioned.

I really love this orchid photo. It really gives me an inspiration how to be a better photographer. I have submit this photos to join competition in facebook with the theme 'flowers with a touch of sprin g and summer'. Although this competition is by 'votes', but it is so unbelievable that I received some votes too for this flower. I bought this orchid from Thailand 3-4 years ago with Ernie, my close friend. I don't know what's the name of this orchid, but I used to call it 'SPIDER ORCHID'.

I really love to eat cakes. Love the taste and the design. It's so wonderful. Rich in color. The one that I like most is chocolate and tiramisu cakes. Take a look at the pics, they are sooo yummy. Tempting me!!! Forget about the diet!!!

These are the photos taken by me during my leisure time. I just started learning photography since last December 2007. Although I really love photography but I never thought of buying a DSLR camera before. Eversince I have DSLR camera, I have capture lots of pictures and the results are seem so good, since then, I really feel like photography is my field. I discover things that I really wanted in my life. I realy enjoy taking photographs. It is really fun. So just shoot, as no one could stop you. You will never know you photographs will look great on someone's eye.
